| The Tubs: Professional quality, powder-coated steel, waist high, grooming tubs with high backsplash and sides that will safely hold any size dog -- from the tiniest Chihuahua to the biggest Great Dane. No more back strain and knee pain from washing the dog in your bathroom's "human" tub! Tie-downs are included, with the dog facing right or left, so you don't have to worry about holding him in place, and you can easily wash both sides of the dog. Inside each tub is a raised grate platform, which keeps your pup out of the wet, hairy, soapy water during bathing and drying, making the job easier. The amenities: Warm water hand-sprayers, choice of pet shampoo and conditioner, brushes, combs, ear cleaner, bath towels (as many as you need, for no extra charge), a professional high-velocity pet hair dryer, are provided at each bathing station. Aprons, gloves and muzzles are also available for your use at no extra charge! All these amenities are included with the bath at one fixed price. There are no time limits on tub, so feel free to take your time and enjoy the experience with your dog. Extras: A variety of pet colognes are available for your use after the bath, free of charge. Scents are subject to change, but generally include “Fresh Pet,” “Vanilla Mandarin,” “Cucumber Melon,” and “Polo.” However, if your pet has allergies or skin sensitivities, it might be best to skip the colognes, and just go home smelling like a freshly washed dog. Single Use Disposable Toothbrushes (mint flavor) are available for $1.25, and of course, $5.00 nail trims! Appointments: No appointment necessary. Our facilities are available on a first come, first served walk-in basis, so you can stop by whenever it's convenient for you. Metal stairs are provided to help get big dogs into the tub without straining your back. For those of you with multiple dogs, holding crates are available in the shop so no one has to be left at home, or in a hot car, while waiting their turn for a bath. Cleanliness: Cleanliness is very important to us. In order to provide the nicest bathing experience, and prevent the spread of pet- related diseases, our tubs and brushes are cleaned and disinfected after each use with a hospital-quality, germicidal, anti-bacterial cleaning solution. Our fluffy white pet towels are cleaned with bleach, and dried on the hottest setting possible. The shop is also wiped down, mopped and vacuumed daily to insure that each customer enjoys a clean environment.... Whether they're the first or last visitor of the day. Children: Bringing your kids, and wonder what they'll do while you're bathing the pup? To pass the time, and keep little ones occupied during the wait, we offer a nice selection of Disney and other family-friendly video movies, including several with animal themes. Coloring books, crayons, and a basket of toys are available in the “Entertain-mutt” area. We ask that children remain under responsible supervision at all times as there are often dogs other than their own in the store. It is your responsibility to make sure your children use proper dog greeting etiquette. Convenient hours: Shop hours are 10am to 6pm 6 days a week. We are closed on Wednesdays. Dogs need to be in the tubs at least 30 minutes prior to closing (5:30pm). We are closed major holidays including New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, the 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day, and a some days surrounding these holidays, depending on where they fall during the week. If our days or hours of operation change from what is posted above, we will update the website with this information, and post a notice on "The Yuppy Puppy" front door.
